Floral Displays

Floral displays include garden beds, planters, window boxes, and more. Communities in Bloom judges a town's floral displays on their originality, diversity, and overall quality. Floral displays aren't just for flowers: they can also contain edible plants and ornamental grasses.

Ever since Bernice Knight put up her first flower baskets in 1995, floral displays have been one of our trademarks. In addition to our floral baskets along Main Street, we now have 30 garden beds, 28 planters, and 12 containers across town, each bursting with vibrant blooms. Many of our local businesses have created floral displays of their own.

In addition to adding beauty to our town, our flowers contribute to the well-being of pollinators like bees and butterflies. They also serve to mark important events, such as Canada's 150th anniversary, which is commemorated with the Canada 150 flower bed across from the Millet Agriplex.
