Native Plants Project

The Native Plants Project is a collaboration between Millet in Bloom and the Millet & District Museum which invites community members and visitors to Millet to learn all about the important environmental and cultural roles played by our native plants. Information on these plants, including scientific information, pictures, and their traditional Indigenous uses, is displayed on signs installed along Millet’s trail system. Research for the project began in Summer 2019, with concept refinement and design being carried out throughout 2020.

The Native Plants sign space also includes 6 benches, each 6 feet long. This seating space allows visitors to rest and read the signs, as well as creating a space for educational programs and class trips.
