Pipestone Creek Recreation Park

Pipestone Creek Park, at the centre of Millet, is a hub for some of Millet in Bloom's most notable projects.

The north entrance to Pipestone Park off 52 Street is flanked by garden beds of Maltese Cross, tiger lilies, sunrose, elephant ears, and more.

Taking the north 52 Street entrance will take you to the Cenotaph Garden, where red and white blooms surround our Cenotaph, the site of our annual Remembrance Day ceremonies. Continuing on along the trail takes you by Pipestone Creek itself, where you can look out onto beautiful forest and grasses beyond the burbling creek.

In the centre of Pipestone Park is the Splash Pad, built in 2004. The Splash Pad is a great source of summertime fun for Millet's kids and families. Just south of the Splash Pad are picnic tables, installed in 2015, as well as soccer fields and walking trails.

West of the soccer fields is the Seniors' Tree Garden, in which one can find Russian Olive, Colorado Blue Spruce, and a Weeping Larch.

The paved paths of Pipestone Creek Park carry on 45 Avenue to a series of red shale hiking trails, as well as the Paul Pay soccer fields and the Millet Dog Park. The off-leash dog park is nestled behind tall trees and abundant wild plants, including wild raspberries. Walking these trails is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience Millet's gardens and natural beauty.
