The Legacy Garden and Railway Garden
The Legacy Garden, established in 2000, features covered wooden seating underneath weeping birch, willow, and trembling aspen trees. Ground plants here include spirea bushes and two types of juniper bush: ‘Savin’ and ‘Wichita Blue’. The garden was built to celebrate Millet's first entry into the Communities in Bloom International Challenge in 2000, in which Millet twinned with the town of Audrey, England.
Situated where the original Millet Train Station once stood, the CP Railway Garden is home to Canada Buffaloberry, ‘Diablo’ ninebark, multiple varieties of cinquefoil, and more. The sign from the original train station is preserved today in the greeting area of the Millet & District Museum.
